The story follows Liu Ziyu, who transmigrates to 1927 as a newborn baby. Before he can even enjoy his parents' love, the April 12 Incident breaks out. His father disappears without a trace, and his mother is killed by the Green Gang.
A no-good System only improves its Host's physique before running off. The most infuriating part is that the physical enhancement won't even begin until the Host turns sixteen.
Fortunately, the swaddled Liu Ziyu is adopted by a German pastor. However, Pastor Hans is an intelligence agent for the German Army General Staff.
He adopts Liu Ziyu solely to raise him into a ruthless intelligence operative.
Starting at the age of three, Liu Ziyu is taught German, Japanese, and English, as well as subjected to all kinds of brutal training. With the soul of a modern person, Liu Ziyu tries to escape the church time and again, but he is always caught and subjected to merciless torment. All he can do is silently endure it, hoping to escape their clutches once he turns sixteen.
He only gets food and rest after completing the tasks Hans gives him.
In 1940, the Axis powers are formed, and Hans is ordered to return to Germany. Thirteen-year-old Liu Ziyu finally escapes his clutches and begins a life on the streets of Shanghai.
To make ends meet, he organizes a group of homeless children to deliver newspapers and run errands.
In 1942, he saves Zheng Yaoxian and Xu Baichuan in a Shanghai sewer.
Later, he even saves the Shanghai Municipal Committee secretary of the Communist Party and joins the organization.
From then on, Liu Ziyu embarks on a legendary career as a secret agent.
