Love Like a Thin Mist Shrouding the Green Mountains

Three years after we broke up, my ex-boyfriend, a top lawyer, finally returned home with the junior schoolmate he adores.

At our class reunion, everyone eagerly teased him:

"Jing Shen, when you left, you said that if Lin Wan hadn't married within three years, you'd definitely win her back. Are you here to keep your promise?"

I was just about to set the record straight when my ex-boyfriend clasped his junior schoolmate's hand, announced their engagement, and handed out invitations to everyone.

As the invitation was pressed into my palm, the junior schoolmate looked smug.

"Lin Wan, don't flatter yourself. Senior came home first to get engaged to me, and second because he's taken on the divorce case of the richest man's only son. Once he wins, he'll be hired as a senior legal consultant. I know you've waited for him for three years. Sorry, but he's mine now."

My expression turned strange. My ex-boyfriend thought I couldn't accept reality and sighed.

"I was wrong to give you a drug that made you mute and steal your case for Feifei so she wouldn't get expelled. Once I become a legal consultant, I might consider letting you be my assistant."

"I hope you'll stop pining for me and get married soon. Find a guy who's not as good as me. There's no shame in that."

Everyone's expressions changed, and they all turned to look at me, sure I'd fall apart.

But I was only a little surprised.

"You two are only engaged?"

I'm almost divorced!

The divorce case my ex-boyfriend is taking on is between me and my husband.
