London Detective: My I Ching Helps Sherlock Holmes Crack the Case

Lin Wenshan, a young man from the late Qing Dynasty, travels to Victorian London carrying the wisdom of the I Ching. Amid hostility toward foreigners and the city’s pervasive fog, he and Shen Qingyun, a woman skilled in medicine, establish the Wenyun Detective Agency. Blending divination with deduction, they clear the names of impoverished Chinese residents, and their success in solving strange cases draws Sherlock Holmes’s attention. From a battle of wits at a distance to joining forces against Moriarty’s criminal empire, the pair stage a spectacular dance of Eastern and Western ingenuity. When Holmes “falls,” they remain in Limehouse, becoming a beacon for the community. And when the legend returns, they decline an invitation to Baker Street, choosing instead to put down roots in the very land that once rejected them. With Eastern philosophy, they defend the dignity of the vulnerable and kindle a warm, steadfast light for all who strive.
