Online Game: My Basic Attacks Steal Mana, Making Me the Bane of Mages

[Reborn + anti-trope + invincible + ruthless and decisive] He is reborn just before the launch of Arcane Throne, a game where high-level mages are everywhere. In his previous life, as a physical damage swordsman, he was made obsolete by a patch, betrayed by his close friend hailed as the “God of Magic,” and ultimately killed by a forbidden spell. This time, he will defy fate! Drawing on his memories, he abandons all the popular classes and chooses the most obscure one, the “Warrior Mage,” gaining the one-of-a-kind god-tier talent [Spell-Eater’s Body]! Effect 1: Each basic attack steals 1% of the target’s maximum mana and deals an equal amount of damage. Effect 2: Each basic attack permanently increases his own magic resistance by 1 point. And so, every mage’s nightmare is born. While the favored ones of the current patch are fretting over mana costs, the protagonist’s mana bar is longer than his health bar. When a top-tier God of Magic is about to cast a forbidden spell, the protagonist swings his sword and drains him dry, silencing the spell on the spot. “What the hell! Why did my forbidden spell get interrupted? Where’s my mana?” “Good grief! I threw my whole skill combo at him and he didn’t even have a scratch, then he killed me with one basic attack?” When a swordsman has magic resistance thicker than a city wall and can drain your mana like it’s health, the game becomes a hopeless nightmare.
