Synopsis

The Sixteen Prefectures of Yanyun series consists of three volumes: The Flood, The Choice, and Against the Current. The Flood, the first volume, is set against the historical backdrop of the Northern Song’s alliance with the Jin to destroy the Liao, followed by the Jingkang Incident. Weaving together the power struggles among Song, Liao, and Jin with a fictional cast of loyal and righteous characters, it tells of ordinary people who, despite facing certain defeat, still choose to do what they know cannot be done, and of their struggles and dignity.

Historical Fiction! The Characters Must Have Brains!!

Are there stories where a modern person transmigrates back to ancient times and uses their profession to make a difference? Like a doctor who transmigrates to the past and advances medicine within the limits of the era, or a modern special forces expert who transmigrates to ancient times and builds an army using modern ideas. Or just invent penicillin or something. From the start, they pull out an AK-47.
