On the surface, he is as timid as a quail, but on the inside, he is as cruel as a snake and a scorpion. She carried An Lingrong's skin, hid Jiang Yuyan's sharp edge, used the art of perfumery as a blade, and the calculation of people's hearts as a net, turning Zhen Huan's "sisterly love", the queen's power checks, and the emperor's suspicion into chess chips. From the bullied promise of the Yanxi Palace to the co-manage of the Sixth Palace and the promotion of the concubine, she worked step by step and used her strength to bring down the arrogant Xia Dongchun, the arrogant Nian Shilan and the vicious queen one by one, and even pushed the insightful Concubine Duan into a desperate situation.
However, how can the journey to Fengzuo be worry-free? Although the old enemies have been eliminated, new talents have arrived. Niu Hulu, the daughter of an important minister of the former dynasty, is about to enter the palace. Behind her are the entangled family forces and the emperor's high expectations. In the dark, there are fatal clues buried by Concubine Duan waiting for an opportunity to backfire... Can Jiang Yuyan hold on to her hard-won power amidst the unpredictable heart of the emperor and surrounded by tigers and wolves, and finally aspire to the supreme phoenix throne?

It's not the type of story that is so exciting. Every time I thought it was stable, I would kill something again, but overall it was good. I felt that the supporting characters were quite difficult to kill, and it was not easy to get all the way to the end. Even though the martial arts was improved at the beginning, it didn't appear much later, and it was just a palace fight. Then there is the time when Zhen Huan was pregnant in Ganlu Temple. Why would the emperor be happy when he found out, instead of thinking that he had not been there for several months and the child was not his? I didn't understand. Was that timeline very fast?
