The characterization is very realistic. The female protagonist is soft-tempered, but she will withdraw immediately when feelings are unreciprocated. The male protagonist is quite like some people in real life (eating from the bowl and looking at the pot). Halfway through, I still feel that the male protagonist likes the county leader. I think if the two families were not on opposite sides, the male protagonist might choose the county leader. After all, he is so good to the county leader despite being like this. At least in the first half, I felt sorry for the heroine. I felt that she had been abusing the heroine in the past. I didn't like such a male protagonist.
