[System + no romance + all male characters are devoted only to the heroine + one-sided crushes + mystery + ensemble cast]
When Lin Yan dies at the foot of a cliff in The Haunted Manor, all she can think about is the sneer of her hypocritical friend Bai Weiwei and the online mob’s abuse: “Fraud peddling superstition!” As a successor to a reclusive metaphysical lineage, she knew nothing of people’s cruelty. A conspiracy framed and blacklisted her, leaving no trace of her remains.
Reborn, she returns to the moment just after signing with a small company, right before entering a talent competition. Two Systems activate at once: [The Metaphysics Livestream Comeback System] + [The Get-Rich-From-Insults System]! The more viciously people insult her, the more she earns. Praise her, and her approval rating drops? Lin Yan grins: her haters are walking ATMs!
Her backing track is switched during the competition? She steadies her voice with a feng shui gesture and stuns the entire internet with her performance.
She’s accused of faking supernatural powers on a livestream? She exposes a passerby’s hidden ailment on the spot, proving herself right and sending the stream’s view count past a hundred million.
A rival pays trolls to push her into the trending topics? She watches a million yuan land in her account, then exposes the rival’s scandalous secret of “raising a little ghost.”
Top-tier star and movie emperor Gu Yanzhi doubts her, but after she dispels his bad luck, he follows her around, eager to be her “benefactor.”
Entertainment mogul Shen Xingci tries to exploit her popularity, but ends up supplying her with resources.
Genius director Jiang Che thinks she’s just courting attention, but after working with her, he promotes her as his “go-to leading lady.”
Rebellious rapper Qin Fang becomes her enemy, then she saves him, and he turns into her fiercest protector, dissing her haters.
With four male stars watching her back, she focuses on her career and has no time for romance. As the two Systems work together, her metaphysical livestreams expose the entertainment industry’s dark secrets, and her earnings from insults pile up like a mountain.
Standing on the awards stage, Lin Yan sneers: “You call me a fraud peddling superstition? Then I’ll use metaphysics to conquer the entertainment industry and turn every doubt into a stepping stone to the top!”
