[American Horror + American TV series] [The protagonist refuses to act human]
Cao Shaolin was up all night playing games in his dorm when he got a fresh start, though his second life was nothing like anyone else's.
He was reborn as a ghost, a sea-dwelling specter with a clear sense of self.
During his time trapped beneath the sea, he came to understand that people have their limits.
After a series of setbacks, Cao Shaolin finally set foot in the Florida of his dreams, a place rich in talent and beauty. Then he discovered it was a terrifying world filled with strange people, vampires, werewolves, and witches, where even demons and angels occasionally descended upon the mortal realm.
There was the cursed ringtone, the nightmare killer Freddy, Jason, the Crystal Lake vigilante, and Miss Sadako's enthusiastic in-person fan meetups. The American people live in dire straits, so who says they don't have wills of steel?
Living in this horrifying world fills Cao Shaolin with worry. Fortunately, he was reborn with a cultivation method called The Sutra of Purity Amid the Five Turbidities, which can help him become the legendary Ghost Immortal.
Always a cautious man, he decides to focus on growing stronger first. The first thing he does is recruit new crew members for his ghost ship.
(The pacing is slow, and the main story doesn't begin until Chapter 6. The protagonist received a good nine years of compulsory education, so he follows his own principles and won't indiscriminately kill innocents.)
(The horror films and series featured include Hannibal, One Missed Call, Smile, Ju-on, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Carrie, It, the American Horror Story series, the Conjuring series, and more...)
Writing is not easy, but that doesn't mean I have to read novels and learn foreign languages at the same time.
