Forgotten Restorer
Comet 3I/ATLAS hovers outside the atmosphere, staring at the earth like a giant silver-gray eye, bringing about a "black field of memory" - the solidification cycle of human long-term memory is locked in 24 hours, and the foundation of civilization collapses in oblivion. The father does not know his children, and his lover is a stranger. The remaining humans hide in the "Ark" underground fortress and rely on AI instructions, muscle memory and technical black boxes to survive, but have long forgotten the essence of knowledge.
Chen Xu, the only ancient book restorer immune to the memory plague, became the last person in the world to have a complete "past". He carries the weight of the memory of the entire civilization, endures the alienation of the people around him day after day, and walks alone in the desert of the "now". But he gradually discovered that comets are not destroyers, but harsh examiners of the universe. This forgotten catastrophe is the ultimate qualification test for the survival of civilization.
Without the blessing of guns, he uses "understanding" as a weapon; regardless of conquest and plunder, he takes "repair" as his mission - to repair malfunctioning machines, to sew up the broken logic of civilization, and to prove the tenacity of human nature under the test of absolute rationality.
This is not a simple survival adventure, but a lonely Chen Xu, carrying the past of all mankind, leading his only remaining companions to submit a final reply to the infinite universe about "why humans exist". A peak dialogue between perceptual civilization and rational principles begins.
