Comet 3I/ATLAS hovers outside the atmosphere, staring at the earth like a giant silver-gray eye, bringing about a "black field of memory" - the solidification cycle of human long-term memory is locked in 24 hours, and the foundation of civilization collapses in oblivion. The father does not know his children, and his lover is a stranger. The remaining humans hide in the "Ark" underground fortress and rely on AI instructions, muscle memory and technical black boxes to survive, but have long forgotten the essence of knowledge.
Chen Xu, the only ancient book restorer immune to the memory plague, became the last person in the world to have a complete "past".
