After a global catastrophe, humans gain supernatural abilities by injecting themselves with “gene sequences.” The protagonist accidentally obtains the “Seventh Sequence,” which was supposed to have been destroyed. It offers no combat power whatsoever, but lets him… conjure a soup dumpling out of thin air?
