Zhang Yu, an ordinary person with an intense obsession with The Grave Robbers' Chronicles and Candle in the Tomb, is unexpectedly swept into a mysterious crossover world of tomb-raiding stories. He becomes a member of the main Zhang family and gains the Eight Supreme Skills from the world of the Outsiders. When he first enters this world, he is far weaker than the experts on all sides, and time is short as the ruins are full of dangers. Tempted by the enormous rewards hidden in the ruins, he struggles to choose between his principles and his own interests. Soon after entering the world, he awakens the perfect-grade Saintly Thief and Fenghou Qimen, along with beginner-level versions of the other Eight Supreme Skills. Accompanied by Zhang Haixing and the other heroines, he sets out on his journey. Starting with the Zhang family’s coming-of-age trial, he ventures through the ancient tomb at Pingshan, the Old Nine Gates, the ruins from the Candle in the Tomb series, and those from The Grave Robbers' Chronicles. Along the way, clashing interests cause other factions to misunderstand him, while the dangers inside the ruins grow more severe with time, and the treasures’ emergence threatens to trigger even greater chaos. But with the Eight Supreme Skills and unwavering conviction, Zhang Yu solves one mystery after another and writes his own legend in this mysterious world.
