The world is composed of nine levels of "prison realms" superimposed, one prison and one heaven. The lower three hells (Wild Wilderness, Blood Demon, and Ghost Demon) are the mortal world; the middle three hells (Lingxiao, Xuanhuang, and Creation) are the higher planes; and the upper three hells (reincarnation, the other side, and immortality) are the legendary places. Each prison is vast and has its own system.
