[Martial Arts Power Fantasy] + [Reverse Hero System] + [The More He Gives, the Stronger He Gets] + [A Ridiculous Martial World] Yun Xiao is a low-level disciple whose sect is on the verge of bankruptcy and whose cultivation has stalled. Then a bolt of lightning strikes him and awakens the [Power-Dispersing Treasure-Gifting System].
Story Overview
Yun Xiao is the last disciple of the Qingmu Sect. All that remains of the sect is three ramshackle houses and half an acre of poor farmland. His cultivation has been stuck at the third-rate level for five years with no progress, and all he wants is to scrape by while safeguarding his ancestors’ legacy. Then a bolt of lightning strikes, and the [Power-Dispersing Treasure-Gifting System] binds itself to him. It forces him to give others the manuals, treasures, and resources it provides before he can grow stronger. If he refuses, he is punished with reverse-flowing meridians.
At first, Yun Xiao is forced to embark on a spree of reckless gift-giving. He gives the family’s top-grade sword technique to a beggar and accidentally unlocks the “Pure Sword Heart.” He gives a healing miracle elixir to a disciple of his sworn enemy, the Liehuo Sect, and gains the “Indestructible Diamond Body” in return. He gifts the spirit vein behind his sect to the impoverished Baicao Valley next door, causing the Qingmu Sect to expand threefold on its own. These antics propel him from a third-rate disciple to a first-rate martial artist, but the System’s side effects also leave him humiliated again and again. He can’t see anyone without wanting to teach them swordsmanship, even street thugs; he spits out any pill he tries to swallow and has to live on dry rations; and he gives land to every struggling sect he encounters, nearly handing over everything the Qingmu Sect owns.
As his gifts grow more frequent, Yun Xiao’s fame spreads throughout the martial world. The “Treasure-Gifting Maniac Yun Xiao” regularly headlines the martial world’s tabloids, drawing both adoration from those who have received his gifts and the attention of evil sects and con artists coveting his treasures. He gradually discovers that every treasure he gives away bears ancient runes, and that the recipients, who seem to be chosen at random, are actually all connected to the “Ancient Guardian Alliance”.
