The medieval-style village of IJssel looks like an ordinary village with smoke rising from cooking stoves, but in fact it is shrouded in an invisible "weird fog". The mist breeds demons and visions, which feed on the negative emotions of the villagers, but only Colin can see them. The villagers didn't know the existence of the mysterious fog, and just thought that Colin was a lunatic obsessed with fantasy - after all, he was always waving farm tools into nothingness, or suddenly learning to leapfrog in the square. No one knows that these "crazy moves" are the only way to defeat the devil. Each monster requires a specific "social death move" to seal it.
