There’s More to My Barbecue Stall Than Meets the Eye

He used to be an all-powerful underworld judge. Now, he’s just a kebab vendor in Muyun Town. Chen Mo trades his Armani for a rough apron and opens a barbecue shop. His past has become a local legend, earning the respect of the young men around town and making his “Homeward Barbecue” a nightly hotspot, packed with smoke and fire. As business takes off, he turns around and buys an unfinished building for a second branch, hands the empire over to his apprentice, then drives off into the mountains. He expects the rest of his life to be a solitary journey, until the wind in Daocheng brings him together with Su Mian, another lone traveler. After one “coincidental” trip together after another, the passenger seat of his Land Rover finally has a permanent occupant. When shadows from the past occasionally cross the window, will he finally leave his old life behind, or become a “judge” once more to protect the woman beside him? This is a story about letting go, starting over, and protecting what matters.
