The apocalypse has arrived. Extreme cold has frozen the world solid, and zombies roam everywhere.
While everyone else huddles in shelters, chewing on canned food, Lin Hao, a young man from Northeast China, returns to his hometown and immediately sets his sights on the zombies snarling downstairs.
“These things are bursting with energy. What a waste not to put them to work stoking the boiler!”
He awakens a bizarre ability: he can tame zombies by speaking in a Northeastern accent. From then on, everything changes:
The zombies won’t bite anyone around him. They just stoke boilers, pull sleds, and serve as ice sculptures, working diligently all year round without a day off.
He uses zombies to generate electricity and heat, and stacks frozen zombies into walls. Wearing only shorts and eating popsicles in temperatures of minus fifty degrees, he turns this bitterly cold land into the warmest city in the apocalypse!
When the Southern Salvation Army rolls in with tanks to recruit him, Lin Hao steps out with a wrench in hand, backed by an entire zombie boiler corps.
He grins.
“Hey, buddy, want to work with me? We’ve got full benefits, central heating, and spicy hot pot!”
Everywhere else, people fight zombies. Here, we hire them!
