Echoes Locked in a Drawer

A year after her father, Lin Jianming, dies, city planner Lin Mo happens upon an old drawer in his study that has never been opened. Inside are yellowed letters, incomplete blueprints, and a rusted bronze key. They reveal not only a secret her father kept in life, a story tied to the old city's redevelopment in the 1990s, but also a long-concealed accident from years ago. As Lin Mo follows the clues, she gradually realizes that her father's “accidental” death may not have been an accident at all. Every object in the drawer is an “echo” her father left behind, guiding her as she pieces together the truth buried by time. Along the way, Lin Mo comes to see her father in a new light and confronts her own doubts about family and her professional ideals. Ultimately, guided by those “echoes,” she finds closure with her father and redemption for herself.
