President Gu's Poor Little Darling

On a rainy night, business magnate Gu Zhou found a badly injured young man by the side of the road: Bai Lai. He took the silent, fragile boy, who suffered from mutism and severe depression, home and lovingly cared for him. Bai Lai’s first nineteen years had been a dark abyss of beatings and scolding from his parents, schemes by his younger brother, and bullying by his childhood friend. He curled up in a corner, using silence to shut out the world.

Gu Zhou’s patience and tenderness were the first light to shine into Bai Lai’s life. Bai Lai awkwardly began to rely on him, while Gu Zhou kept a secret close to his heart: they had met as children, and he was the “Big Brother Xiao Zhou” Bai Lai had long since forgotten. With Gu Zhou’s deep love, Bai Lai struggled toward recovery and a new beginning. And the pain inflicted on him will eventually be answered for, quietly and without fanfare.
