[The male lead is not chaste. The heroine and hero share little romance; their relationship is more of a partnership of mutual interest.] Shuo Lian transmigrates into a familiar dynasty: the Qing. Her father-in-law is the renowned Emperor Kangxi, and her husband is the disappointing Aisin Gioro Yinreng. Is she destined to follow her dead husband through two depositions and two restorations to the throne? In history, she was out of favor, and the sons born to her husband’s concubines were adopted by her. Yongzheng made one of them a prince to demonstrate his benevolence. Yet she still ended up confined with Yinreng, unable even to divorce him!
Impossible. Absolutely impossible!
Since she’s already married into the family, Shuo Lian will whip her disappointing husband into shape!
Note: The male lead is not chaste, while the heroine is. This is not a sweet romance. Later on, the male lead will obediently do as his wife says!
It seems that some settings are not very mainstream. For example, Concubine Tong Jia does not have an elder sister to enter the palace. He also made the prince look a bit silly. I personally like smart princes.
Not pretty...
