After Unsealing a Ten-Thousand-Year-Old Demon, I Became His Ancestor

Su Nian, an ordinary person living in the modern world, accidentally unseals Xuan Tianmo, a ten-thousand-year-old demon lord. To her surprise, this triggers a life-or-death contract: he can live only as long as she does, and if she dies, he dies with her. Even their cultivation is bound together and shared!

The old demon is beside himself. After finally escaping, how did he end up as a mortal's life-saving accessory? Desperate to regain his peak powers and break the contract, he instantly turns clingy, showering Su Nian, who has no interest in cultivation, with promises: “Cultivation is amazing! You can live forever and wield boundless power. Just wave your hand and command the wind and rain!”

Su Nian spreads her hands. “How's a mortal with no spiritual roots supposed to cultivate?”

Xuan Tianmo thumps his chest and guarantees, “This venerable one has plenty of top-grade spiritual root seeds.”

Others rely on talent and perseverance to cultivate. Su Nian cultivates through the demon lord's hands-on, feed-them-till-they-fight approach: endless resources, constant prodding, and even when she's in mortal danger, the old demon is the one looking after her through the night, sobbing all the while.

Anyone who bullies her becomes the old demon's sworn enemy!

When he sees her looking twice at the senior and junior disciples of the sect, the old demon turns green with jealousy. “Romance will damage your Dao heart and ruin your chances of ascending!”

But after Su Nian turns her fortunes around again and again, the day their contract is broken, the old demon instantly becomes a lovesick fool. “Niannian, date me. It'll help you ascend faster!”

Su Nian: “Hmph! You want to damage my Dao heart? No way!”
