I Became a Zombie and Turned Myself In to the State, Then Became an Extinction-Level Threat

Three years after the apocalypse began, the world has become a wasteland.

I died, then woke up again, as one of the lowest and weakest zombies.

But unlike the other zombies, my consciousness is still intact. And most importantly, I have my country backing me up!

“This is the Huaxia Zhulong Command Center. Unknown unit, identify yourself!”

I replied in broken phrases: “I come from the apocalyptic future... I was once a member of the Huaxia forces, serial number ***... assigned to investigate the Red Rain Plan. Now I’m a zombie... I can no longer... return to base.”

The country quickly made its decision: If you can’t come back, then the country will send its strength to you!

A miniature space-time portal appeared, providing me with support and protection.

While other zombies were still gnawing on flesh by instinct, the country sent me specially formulated nutritional paste so my body would stop decaying.

When mutated monsters ran rampant, a cutting-edge alloy blade and an energy core would appear in the portal right on schedule.

With supplies from the past, I gradually transformed my weak body, going from stumbling along to moving as fast as lightning, and from being unarmed to clad in bone blades and armor.

I fought and evolved across the apocalyptic wasteland, uploading the future intelligence and mutated specimens I collected.

In the past, the country used that intelligence to develop vaccines, build shelters, and awaken mythological genes.

They called me the vanguard of civilization. But I knew I was both a nail the country had driven into the apocalypse and a banner for others to rally behind.

Until one day, when I stood atop mountains of corpses and bones, and every roaring Zombie King and grotesque monster cowered and trembled before me, I finally understood:

The country had turned a little zombie like me into a true... world-ending threat.
