[Beast World, Infrastructure Building, 1V3]
At 24, Ji Shu had cancer. She drowned while trying to save a child who had fallen into the sea.
When she opened her eyes again, she had become a villainous female beastfolk named Ji Shu, just like her.
The good news was that she was no longer an orphan and didn’t have cancer.
The bad news was that this beast world was far too primitive, and the original Ji Shu had been so awful that everyone hated her. She had no luck with men whatsoever.
Without any luck with men, she became spiteful, and the more spiteful she got, the less luck she had.
This vicious cycle continued until she drove herself to death.
After figuring out what had happened, Ji Shu waved a hand and declared, “Who cares about men? Isn’t helping my mother and younger brother live comfortable lives more important?”
Once she devoted herself to improving their lives, the woman who had never had any luck with men found herself suddenly surrounded by suitors.
The males in the tribe all competed to become her beast husbands.
Ji Shu was dumbfounded.
Wasn’t she supposed to be a villain with no luck with men?
She just wanted to live a peaceful life!
As Ji Shu racked her brains trying to turn the males down, her number-one fangirl quietly added her fangirl’s poker-faced, sharp-tongued brother, the tribe’s newly crowned greatest warrior, to Ji Shu’s list of potential beast husbands.
Her beloved younger brother also enthusiastically recommended the male wanderer who had saved his life: an aloof, mysterious man with a wealth of knowledge.
Just as Ji Shu felt like they were stealing her home from under her, the tribe’s most gifted young shaman, who had always gotten along with her, confessed with red-rimmed eyes that he wanted to become her beast husband too.
Ji Shu was utterly bewildered. “Come on, don’t be ridiculous. Isn’t it better to focus on making our lives more comfortable?”
The three males determined to become her beast husbands stood their ground.
“No. Nothing’s better than becoming your beast husband!”
