In the cyberpunk apocalypse, a genetic frenzy a century ago reduced the world to ruins. Only three domed cities remain as humanity’s shelters. Corporate magnates control everything through beastification implants, while the poor struggle to survive in the Rust District. Livestreamed fights in underground arenas and deals on the gene black market intertwine in a game of desire and survival.
Yun Mo, a 20-year-old good-for-nothing, used to numb himself with holographic betting. Then the corporations set up his parents and toyed with him as the “perfect genetic vessel.” To turn the tables, he must transform from a timid bystander into a leader.
Caught between the hegemony of Genesis Group, the ambitions of the Black Abyss Association, the extremism of the Pure World Order, and the ideals of the Beast Remains Collective, he uses his talent for data analysis to predict the tides of battle and fights the erosion of humanity with the power of human nature. In the end, he unites the factions and launches a final counterattack against the corporate dictatorship controlling genetic evolution, fighting for humanity’s right to evolve freely.
