Journey to the West: You Drink and Eat Meat, and You Call Yourself a Holy Monk?

It's finally not a Journey to the West with a prehistoric background 🤦 Tomato is all set in a prehistoric setting, making it seem like the prehistoric era is like the origin of all things. Overall it's pretty good, the male protagonist has a good personality and does things in a measured way.

It feels like it makes up for my childhood regrets. Although the plot is not that perfect. But this is really like watching "Journey to the West" when I was a kid. After watching Tang Monk and reciting the Tightening Curse, Brother Monkey was very painful. The plot I've been thinking about in my head is similar to this. But he has more details. It feels very interesting to watch. So far it's still very good. Especially the way of getting along with Brother Monkey. I personally like it a lot. Five loving stars

Only represents personal preference. The author's subject matter is very novel, and the setting that escapes the prehistoric times is particularly attractive. The adaptation of Tang Monk turning into a "holy" monk also really impressed me (but there are not many books written in this way). It's just that I feel that I haven't yet fully grasped the "bohemian" nature of Tang Monk in this world view – he can be a warrior monk and break the rules, but the current description is a bit too ruffian and playful, with a lot of vulgar lines used, and the sense of separation from the historical background and characters will be strong, which can easily dissuade readers. If the protagonist can be more integrated with the few things worthy of learning from Tang Seng himself, the connection between the character and the era and the original character can be made more natural, and some of the overly exaggerated lines can be replaced with a more peaceful tone, the whole thing will be more comfortable. Tang Seng can be playful, but he shouldn't be so out of his element. I only start from my personal reading experience, and it is completely focused on the work rather than the author. I hope my humble opinion can help the author improve the work better. I hope the author's writing will get better and better🤝, cheers for the author.

To be honest, although it is not the same as the traditional Journey to the West world view, but I am used to seeing the same thing, this one is really good and has a unique flavor. And the doggerel at the end is also very good. The author put his heart into it. It would be great if the story can be written to the point where it can be explained in a self-explanatory manner. It's ok. Recommended by a bookworm of more than ten years.

The author has a solid foundation, his writing style is good and his poems are good, the characters are well-written, the protagonist is out of touch but reasonable, the identity is well laid out, and it is quite interesting, but there are too many poems at the end of the chapter, I personally have to skip it, after all, it feels bad to read the whole chapter. After all, it is a novel. If it's good or not, you still have to read the content, right? Besides, the inappropriate summary type and the poems at the end of the chapter are not very attractive. Of course, the overall feeling is still good, but I read it slowly, so I was a little anxious. Overall, this novel feels very personal and I recommend it [Chigua]

Very good, very good. Tang Seng is no longer the white-eyed wolf in the TV series. The protagonist is affectionate, eclectic and wise. The protagonist's personality and Buddha nature are perfectly integrated. It's also fun to get along with his apprentice. All aspects are very good👍 Let me ask you a question, is Guanyin the heroine? If so, that's great 👍

Very good. First of all, it didn't add those crazy settings. I really don't understand how a setting full of loopholes can become popular. The God of God itself is not a masterpiece. If you have to mix it up with "The Ancient World" written by Fengshen and "Journey to the West", it can't be called a dog's tail and a dog's tail. It should be a dog's tail added to the dog's tail. Second, the overall book is relatively relaxed and the writing is very fluent, which is very rare among the vast number of conspiracy theories. There is no need to read a novel every day that will make you miserable and hateful. Third, both Buddhism and Taoism are considered normal. Today's novels all praise Taoism and disparage Buddhism. In the final analysis, they are just idiots who have read both classics. Speaking of which, Chinese Buddhism appeared much earlier than Taoism, and there are many things that Taoism deceives people in history. Isn't the guy in Jingkang Shame who spread beans and became soldiers also a Taoist priest? Wasn't it a Taoist priest who coaxed Jiajing to make alchemy? Also, during the Anti-Japanese War, both Buddhism and Taoism contributed, and some fell ill. There is no need to forcibly elevate Taoism. This book does not have the demonic energy in other novels, and it is very good. They are all religions, all have been Chineseized, and they are all much higher than Semitic monotheistic religions. They have also learned from each other and penetrated for thousands of years. There is no need to always be so innovative. With so many gods, why don't any of them turn Lulu and Shizi, Hinduism, Tibet, Judaism or Dongzheng into villains? Isn't it true that relying on domestic Buddhism is not enough?

It's pretty good. There are basically no messy prehistoric stories or conspiracy theories. It's similar to a Lucky Star fanfic, with some of the original purpose of Journey to the West mixed in. Personally, I think Journey to the West is biased towards the theory of human nature and sophistication and spiritual practice. This book is okay.

It writes about gods and Buddhas based on modern people's ideas, abandoning divinity and only writing about human nature. Although Tang Monk is described as a gangster and rogue, sometimes he speaks very philosophically 🙂. If you want to see traditional gods and Buddhas, there is nothing here. It treats all gods and Buddhas as human beings, only powerful ones and not saints. It is not awkward to see it this way 😄. It is an interesting and good book.

It's quite good. It's not only Liu Bei's novel in Journey to the West cover, but the poem at the end is also quite good. It has literary talent. Some chapters can be self-justified and echo from beginning to end. It's not like the traditional setting of Journey to the West. It's unique. Although the protagonist's character is a bit out of the ordinary, it's also in line with common sense. The changes to the original plot are also good. The story about the shy princess in Boyue Cave is well written (purely personal opinion)
