Photographer and Undertaker: Interwoven Fates

Main pairing: Aesop and Joseph (no switching, no reversals)

There may also be Emily and Emma, or some side Kurt pairings (I dote on my friends).

In this world filled with the bizarre and unsettling, as midnight chimes ring out and fine rain falls over people, souls, and bodies alike, a gray-haired boy wanders the streets beneath an oil-paper umbrella.

Look closely, and it seems someone else is standing beside him. The other's long white hair streams freely in the air, his pale face blurred by the rain, his sapphire-blue eyes fixed on the gray-haired boy.

He smiles and says, “Aesop, who's next?”

The gray-haired boy stops and looks back at him, then quietly replies, “Sir, that thing is next.”

In the next instant, the sky seems to tear open, revealing a vast, blood-red eye staring down at Aesop and Joseph.

The specialists handling these things urge Aesop to leave, but he simply adjusts his mask. The next instant, the red oil-paper umbrella transforms into a scythe gleaming with a cold light. Joseph beside him reveals his true form as well. Under the red glow, his silver Sunset Sword radiates an unsettling curse.

“It's time to let it rest, Aesop.”

“Mm. Let it sleep.”
