Wanli's Rise to the Throne: Rebuilding China's Vast Realm

His soul travels back to the Wanli era, just as the Ming Dynasty is beset by internal strife and external threats: factional infighting rages at court, land is heavily concentrated in the hands of a few, and border conflicts flare across the realm. Armed with the wisdom and progressive ideas of a later age, the protagonist rises from humble beginnings, crushes the corrupt forces with an iron fist, and uses a formidable army to cow the barbarians on every frontier. Step by step, he turns the tide when all seems lost and props up the crumbling state, ultimately claiming the throne amid the chaos of the Wanli era. He rebuilds China's vast territories and ushers in a golden age greater than those of the Han and Tang dynasties, sending the dragon banner across the world and making every nation bow and pay tribute.
