Mountains and Rivers Blood: Ode to the Soul of Sichuan

The smoke of the civil war was just extinguished, and the 122nd Division of the Sichuan Army was ordered to leave Sichuan. Li Shouren, the leader of the 57th Regiment, led thousands of Bashu disciples under his command and walked thousands of miles north with the oath of "I will not return until the enemy retreats." They were in ragged clothes, poorly equipped, and suffered from cold looks and ostracism. However, from the cold and windy positions in Shanxi to the scorched earth of Taierzhuang, this group of Sichuan army men, contemptuously called "straw shoe soldiers", used the poorest weapons and the hottest blood to rush towards the Japanese invaders who were armed to the teeth time and time again. They forged the battle flag with their flesh and blood and fulfilled their promises with their lives, until all of them sacrificed their lives in the final decisive battle on the eve of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, leaving their souls in a foreign land. Their names are unknown, but their deeds live forever.
