Tales of the Hidden River: Notes from Nan’an

[After the Dark River Disbanded, We Switched to Selling Medicine]

Su Muyu, former head of the Su family of Dark River, is now the proprietor of Crane Rain Apothecary. He’s highly capable at his job, but his cooking is even more lethal.

Su Changhe, formerly the head of Dark River, is now an idle presence at the apothecary. He lies flat every day, yet is forced to become the exclusive taste tester for his brother’s dark cuisine.

They thought retirement would be peaceful and carefree, but who could have guessed? The owner of the Thousand Gold Terrace is lining up to place orders, beauties from the Mu family are bringing their whole households over to mooch meals, and Uncle Zhe fishes for his health every single day…

Now that life at the apothecary consists of running a business, staying healthy, dealing with visitors, and sampling the proprietor’s “loving home cooking” every day, Su Changhe can only ask: Is it too late to return to the martial world?

Watch how these once-feared fiends simmer up a healing daily life called “home” amid the everyday chores of food and laundry.

(Two male leads, brotherly relationship, no CP. A record of the retired lives of the people of Dark River, warm and healing with a touch of comedy.)
