Other families' real and fake heiresses fight each other to the death. Mine are something else entirely:
The fake heiress, Lin Wanxing, is a spoiled little menace who has been raised by a wealthy family for eighteen years. When the real heiress is found, she clings to the leather sofa and wails, “You can go, but leave my snack cabinet and black card behind!”
The real heiress, Su Ye, storms back into the wealthy family from the countryside with a basket of free-range eggs. The first time she sees Lin Wanxing, she frowns. “That skirt is so tight. Could you outrun the big yellow dog at the village entrance in it?”
It takes just three meals at roadside stalls to go from “You took my place in this family for eighteen years” to “Only I get to insult her”:
When relatives mock Su Ye for being uncultured, Lin Wanxing flips the table. “She can shuck corn faster than you can grab a red envelope, and you have the nerve to judge her?”
When a green-tea girl tries to drive a wedge between the sisters, Su Ye pulls out A Country Girl's Guide to Avoiding Scams. “Miss, I'll teach you how to behave. It's free!”
When their biological parents try to treat them equally, the two team up to throw a down-home party at the mansion, driving off all their snobbish relatives.
Later...
Lin Wanxing goes viral with her Guide to Slacking Off in a Wealthy Family, while Su Ye uses her country wisdom to revitalize the family business.
A reporter asks, “Are the rumors that you two don't get along true?”
Lin Wanxing hooks an arm around Su Ye's shoulders. “Fake news! We're so close we could wear the same pants. Though her pants are so baggy that I'd look like I was wearing a sack.”
Su Ye kicks her. “Quit talking. The corn I just picked hasn't been cooked yet. Keep running your mouth and you won't get any!”
