Also known as: [One Piece: Robin and I Were Childhood Friends] [I'm in One Piece; What Should I Do If I Meet Little Robin?]
My name is Erwin. I came to Ohara from a remote island.
The very air here was full of knowledge, and I thought life would be dull.
Then I met a girl who had no friends and nothing but stacks of thick books.
She said her name was Robin. The village children all thought she was strange, so they wouldn't play with her.
But I didn't care whether she was strange. I actually thought her ability to sprout so many hands was “really cool.”
I'd take her out into the sunshine and teach her which wildflowers had the sweetest nectar.
I'd point to the squirrels in the trees and solemnly tell her they were our “lookouts.”
I'd stand up for her and chase away the kids who had once called her a “monster.”
On her birthday, I'd summon a whole pod of dolphins to dance for her.
I'd introduce her to the villagers she'd never known, and we'd work and enjoy life together.
That life went on for a long time, until...
I died right in front of her.
The story moves at a slower pace, so please be patient and savor it.
