Green Apple [Unrequited Love, Bad Ending]

[Introverted, Invisible Heroine & Lofty, Untouchable Hero]

This is a BE! A short story about the heroine's unrequited love from beginning to end.

Both the hero and heroine eventually find their true loves. I may consider writing a second installment. This one is a short story about the youthful mutual crushes that never came to fruition.

A secret crush is like a green apple: one bite, and your mouth is filled with sourness.

Story Introduction

Introverted and shy Lin Zhaoqing meets the dazzling Chen Jinyan in her first year of high school. She hides her fluttering heart in countless cautious glances and retreats. Chen Jinyan once felt drawn to the girl with the delicate writing, but after his tentative advances went nowhere, he was won over by the outgoing and passionate Xia Xingran. From their tentative closeness in their first year to going their separate ways in their final year, this budding mutual affection, thwarted by their personalities, ultimately became an unspoken crush that quietly faded from Lin Zhaoqing's youth, leaving behind a tender yet regretful mark with the passage of time.
