[Ensemble cast] [a touch of furry] [fantasy setting] [no romance]. All the other tags were added by the System.
A fanfiction based on the game Changed, with a full ensemble cast. (The tags only let me choose one of two categories, and it leans more toward a female readership, so I picked the female-oriented tag.) No romantic pairings for now; updates whenever inspiration strikes. (You can start with Volume Two. The earlier chapters take too long to get going and don't have much to do with the main plot. You can read them later if you want the details, but the writing may seem a little childish. Just kidding, it's childish until Chapter Fifty.)
This is a story about searching and waiting. Here you'll find goo beasts, ink demons, demi-humans, ghosts, taverns, deserted islands, haunted villages, and castles. But most important are the people who can't bring themselves to let go.
The world is not lifeless. All things contain a spiritual essence called “Mowu.” Pro, a pure-black goo beast, can sense warmth and cold and wrinkle his nose at sour wild fruit. New plants and trees mend the cracks in the earth with their tenacious life force. Even an ordinary-looking tangerine seems to possess a fragrance that can soothe the soul. In this land where desolation and vitality intertwine, every being silently tells its own story.
The idea that all things have spirits doesn't just mean that everything has a soul. It means they are all striving to proclaim their existence and worth, giving the world memories.
I feel that the plot is a bit too slow, but it just suits my taste. The first plot is a bit like trying to make up the word count, but the later part may be because the author has enlightened. Some of the writing is quite good, especially the emotions and things are more delicate, and some foreshadowings are also buried. I don't know if they will be recycled. It can be seen that the author is not very good at writing online articles, and he does not bury hooks at the end of the articles. However, this kind of literary-style sentences has a special flavor, and occasionally it is good to incorporate old jokes. I don't usually read about orcs, so I don't know what people in the industry think of them. Anyway, if the main character is an orc, I personally think it's actually acceptable. Most of the characters in the first part were read in a hurry, especially the one in Mao Er Village. I felt that the writing was very long-winded. There were more supporting characters in the second part, and the look and feel was better. Especially Kushancha's portrayal in the later stage was good (I didn't see it much in the early stage). She felt more at ease when she was in the plot. Anyway, I hope the author will write better and better. My words may be a bit sharp, I hope the author doesn't mind.
