Lin Dong, a college student born after 2005, transmigrates after a reckless adventure goes terribly wrong. When he opens his eyes again, he has become a Chinese American baby in San Francisco’s Chinatown in 1970.
After eighteen years as a street thug, he becomes the Hong Fu Association’s top enforcer, known as “Mad Dog Dong.” Then, in 1988, his memories of his previous life awaken, along with the Good Deeds Bring Good Fortune System.
The System tells him: Heaven sees everything you do. Do good deeds, and good fortune will follow!
Lin Dong looks at the machete in his hand, then at the Vietnamese gang about to fight him, and falls into deep thought.
And so, a legend with a peculiar style emerges in San Francisco’s underworld:
He reasons with rival gang leaders and persuades them to open Chinese restaurants instead. The System rewards him with [Future Stock Market Trends].
He leads his underlings in unclogging drains and tutoring homework for the grandmothers of Chinatown. The System rewards him with [Superhuman Physique].
While the FBI and his rivals all think he is a madman who only knows how to put on a “holier-than-thou” act, Lin Dong uses the System’s rewards, including knowledge of the future, superhuman strength, and a steady stream of wealth, to rise from top enforcer to transform the Hong Fu Association into a vast empire spanning finance, technology, and charity.
Until one day, Mr. Muyuan, the head of the Hong Fu Association, claps him on the shoulder and says, “Dong, North America is yours. Next, it’s time for our people to return to our homeland.”
Not great, just average. Is there such a thing as a lone wolf killing people in North America??
