Where the neon dies, love is the only way home
On a rainy night in Repulse Bay, Hong Kong, in 1993, the wealthy Su family receives an unexpected visitor: Lu Jin, the only son of the Lu family, covered in wounds, his eyes as cold as tempered steel.
That night, the innocent and trusting Su Nian rises onto his toes to wipe away Lu Jin's wounds. “I'll blow on it, and then it won't hurt,” he says, becoming the first glimmer of light in Lu Jin's dark world.
Over the next five years, Lu Jin transforms from a down-and-out boy into a power broker controlling Hong Kong's undercurrents, while Su Nian grows from an innocent young master into a gifted designer.
He teaches him self-defense; the other sparks his artistic inspiration. He shields him from open attacks and hidden threats; the other soothes the fury between his brows.
Fireworks over Victoria Harbour, danger in Lan Kwai Fong, life-and-death separation in a warehouse...
Through bloodshed and turmoil, they save each other, fighting their way toward a love they can barely allow themselves to feel.
When Lu Jin kneels on one knee atop Victoria Peak and offers a ring engraved with “The Day We Come Home”;
when Su Nian declares before a watching crowd, “I've finally found my way home”...
Can a love that began in dependence and blossomed into devotion defy fate and find an eternal home?
