After a car accident, Chen Mo takes over a mysterious delivery, a box of cremated remains, and awakens a spectral eye that lets him see a “hanged ghost's looping death scene” in the client's home.
· Key to the mystery: He cracks the hanged ghost's “death condition” (combing her hair in front of a mirror at midnight) and discovers that she was an artist whose life was stolen from her.
· Climax: The blood-jade bracelet absorbs the artist's obsession and reveals a clue pointing to the next delivery address: an abandoned subway station.
· Foreshadowing: The delivery slip is signed “Scavenger.”
