Synopsis: Surviving in the Wasteland
A strange mutation sends the young Lin Che from a cave in the modern world into a wasteland where radiation spreads and civilization has collapsed. With only half a ration biscuit left behind by his father, he is forced to struggle for survival in a hellscape of twisted metal and mutated monsters.
At the violent stronghold known as Rustiron Town, Lin Che meets companions including Xiaotong, a girl with a mechanical eye, and the resilient warrior Lei En. Together, they form a weak little group called the "Moles." They are soon caught in the struggle between the local cult, the Pure Water Church, and the mysterious Sigil Hunters over an ancient ruin called the Gate of Dimensions, also known as the "Gate." The key item Lin Che acquires by chance, the "Core," and a piece of runic bone make him a target for every faction.
In search of a way to survive and the truth, Lin Che and his companions venture into danger, uncovering the Pure Water Church's deranged plan to draw energy from the Gate. They also discover that it is all connected to the catastrophic failure of the pre-civilization Star Travelers project. Their actions inadvertently cause the Gate's energy to spiral out of control, bringing an even more terrifying threat.
During their flight and resistance, the team meets Xing Ying, a mysterious descendant of the "Gatekeepers," and learns that the Gate connects to a dangerous dimension capable of destroying the world. Together, they foil Elder Hawk's conspiracy to reopen the Gate, then follow the clues until they find the Silent Library, which is closely tied to the legacy of the Star Travelers.
Deep within the library, they face not only the out-of-control killing machine known as the "Cleaner," but also uncover the ultimate purpose of the Star Travelers project: not to escape, but to find the interstellar seed of life code-named "Ark."
