When chaos first emerged and the primordial world began to take shape, a Chaos Bead absorbed spiritual energy for a million years in the Xuanhuang Mountains, giving birth to a primordial divine being.
Carrying the origins of chaos and the energy of Xuanhuang, he shattered the bead and took human form. His birth stirred strange phenomena across heaven and earth, and spiritual energy surged like dragons and tides, drawing the attention of the Three Pure Ones, who happened to be passing through in search of a sacred place to cultivate.
Laozi saw that his origins defied heaven and that his nature was pure. Yuanshi praised his extraordinary bone structure and innate Daoist aura, while Tongtian admired his shared origins with chaos and his carefree, unconventional spirit. All three Quasi-Saints were moved to take him as a disciple. They welcomed this newly arrived, naive primordial divine being into their sect and named him Xuanhuang.
Guided by Laozi’s Tao Te Ching, protected by Yuanshi’s Qingxuan Hairpin, and armed with Tongtian’s Chaos Sword, Xuanhuang cultivated in seclusion in the Kunlun Immortal Realm, drawing on his dual origins. He watched the Three Pure Ones discuss the Dao, comprehended the lingering echoes of Pangu’s creation of heaven and earth, followed the primordial path, and braved the perilous lands of the primeval world.
From a fledgling primordial divine being to a mighty powerhouse feared by gods and demons, Xuanhuang rode the tides of his era, accompanied the Three Pure Ones as they attained the Primordial Unity, and defended the foundations of the Daoist sect. Amid a primeval world teeming with countless races and torn by the war between the Wu and the demons, he forged a legendary path that belonged to him alone: the Great Dao of Xuanhuang!
