(Apologies for the out-of-character portrayal.) In her previous life, Consort Hua died by smashing her head against a pillar. Reborn with vengeance in her heart, she casts aside love and watches her enemies reveal their true colors. With one hand, she stirs up turmoil in the harem; with the other, she takes control of the court’s political game. Watch as she carefully rises from a prince’s secondary consort to become a formidable Empress Dowager ruling from behind the curtain. In this life, her unattainable ideal becomes the mark of her vengeance. Her phoenix cries across the heavens as she rewrites her ending!
