Transmigrating Into Empresses in the Palace to Crush Three Thousand Consorts

"Open Your Eyes and Lose Your Head? This Palace Maid Is Slaughtering Her Way Through the Qing Palace!" I had barely transmigrated into the body of a palace maiden when I opened my eyes at the imperial selection ceremony. A eunuch shrieked that I'd shown disrespect in the emperor's presence. The next moment, they were going to drag me out and behead me. I pinched my thigh and burst into tears. "Your Majesty's majesty is so dazzling, the golden light blinded me!" Yongzheng narrowed his eyes. "Keep her." That night, the palace-intrigue survival System came online: [Beginner Mission: Survive three days in the Forbidden City] [Probability of death: 99.7%] I looked at the "congratulatory gift" Consort Hua had given me: a bolt of Shu brocade soaked in poison. I turned around and stuffed it into the arms of the eunuch leading me. "You've worked hard, Eunuch. This fine thing suits you better." On the third day, I used iodine to reveal the poison in a bowl of congee, right in front of everyone. On the fifth day, I tracked down the noble lady who framed me using half a muddy footprint. On the seventh day, while Yongzheng was reviewing memorials, I "accidentally" started telling him the story of Nirvana in Fire... He set down his vermilion brush. "Go on." I lowered my head. "This concubine wouldn't dare discuss court affairs recklessly. I just think... the six palaces should be managed by performance reviews, too." The next day, a document titled "Detailed Rules for KPI Assessments of Harem Positions" was presented to the empress. From a palace maiden who nearly lost her head to an empress dowager who ruled from behind the curtain. At last, the System said, [Mission complete. Goodbye.] I swirled the homemade grape wine in my crystal goblet and smiled at the noble ladies gathered below me. "Why the rush? The good life..." "I've only just begun to enjoy it." (Transmigrating into a palace maiden doomed to die, I used chemistry to solve crimes and performance management to bring the entire Qing harem to its knees.)
