Su Xiaowan only wants to quietly inherit her family’s noodle shop, which is on the verge of going out of business. Then she accidentally smashes the family’s ancestral pickle jar.
With a pop, a naked, impossibly handsome man appears inside.
He looks down at her coldly. “Mortal, why don’t you kneel before this emperor?”
Su Xiaowan: “…And who are you, exactly?”
It’s only when the local thugs from next door come looking for trouble that she sees him wave a hand and send them flying straight down the street.
Su Xiaowan, wide-eyed: “…Boss, are you looking for an accessory?”
Only later does she discover that this self-proclaimed Demon Emperor, the black dragon Mo Huang, is incredibly powerful, but has one fatal flaw:
His magic power constantly leaks black smoke, polluting the environment whenever he uses it!
And so, the scene shifts:
When evil spirits and demons appear, he pinches his nose in disgust. “What a pain. I have to fight again.”
When the mystic sects come looking for trouble, he rolls his wrists. “If I can handle it physically, I’m not using magic.”
He’s domineering, naive, fiercely protective, and a bottomless pit when it comes to food. But when she’s bullied, he’ll stand between her and danger, even if black smoke shoots into the sky.
“Who dares touch someone who belongs to this emperor?”
Su Xiaowan looks at the “homebody dragon” beside her, playing video games while waiting for someone to feed him, and sighs.
What else can she do? She picked him up, so now she has to spoil him.
Cool, so funny
