Chen Mo, a corporate wage slave, inherits a funeral parlor on the verge of bankruptcy and unexpectedly discovers that he can communicate late at night with the lingering consciousness of the dead. To save the business, he reluctantly starts livestreaming paranormal investigations in haunted houses. Other people stage their livestreams; he actually investigates crimes on-site. While other streamers scream inside haunted houses, he chats with the “old lady” in the corner: “Ma’am, would you stop rocking the chair? They’re all wetting themselves. Now, where did you say your gold bracelet was?”
