The Morning Dao Emperor

The Xu family is no great cultivation clan. For generations, its people have made their living by hunting and farming. Most are ordinary folk with strong bones and sinews. The only thing connecting them to the word “immortal” is that an ancestor was once a Qi Refining cultivator, leaving behind an incomplete copy of the "Qi Guiding Art" and a bluestone shrine that has long since lost its spiritual glow. Deep inside the shrine is a palm-sized, pitch-black stone. The clan members regard it as a keepsake passed down by their ancestors and make offerings to it on festivals. None of them knows that this strange stone is actually an ancient Primordial Chaos Stone, containing a wisp of Hongmeng Purple Qi. It has lain dormant in the Xu family shrine for three thousand years.
