Crime Investigation Notes

As a child, Zhong Zhennan was on an outing with his parents when they were attacked in a terrifying incident. His parents were both killed, and he grew up in an orphanage. The police officer who saved him later became his mentor, but died in the line of duty after Zhong graduated from police academy. These two tragedies forged his belief in “using the law as a shield and intelligence as a blade,” and gave him a profound understanding of sacrifice.
