[Both leads are inexperienced in love + One couple throughout + Lighthearted + Sweet romance + Happy ending]
Illustrator Zou Dao’s “work-from-home creative time” is interrupted by her mother, who signs her up for a dating reality show without asking, hoping to get her to socialize more.
Accustomed to keeping company with her paintbrushes, Zou Dao only wants to avoid breaking her contract and “make it through” the whole show.
The company running the show belongs to Jiang Yanqing’s family.
The rich heir has no interest in his family’s “dating script,” but when he happens to see Zou Dao’s photo on the female contestants’ list, the artistic spark in her eyes captivates him.
Just then, a male contestant gets caught in a scandal and has to drop out. Jiang Yanqing immediately decides to join as an ordinary contestant, entering a show where he can “call the shots.”
As the men and women vie for one another’s affection, some put on an act while others cling to tried-and-true tactics. Zou Dao simply records every moment with her paintbrush, showing her true self. Jiang Yanqing, meanwhile, gives up his carefree days of car racing and stock trading. His gaze follows her as she quietly paints, and his subtle protection breaks through all the contrivance.
What began as a last-minute replacement on a dating show ends up becoming the start of a love both of them choose wholeheartedly.
