Modern history student Chu Yunfeng and physics prodigy Fu Xiao are accidentally swept into a rift in time and space during an exhibition of the “Star Orbit Gem” at a museum, transmigrating to the magical world of Aruiduoliya. Chu Yunfeng wakes in the perilous Dark Forest and is rescued by Liu Qingqing, a forest elf who is reserved on the outside but warmhearted within. A ranger who protects the forest, Liu Qingqing is skilled with a bow and arrow and nature magic. Fu Xiao wakes in a border town of the Holy Light Empire, where he is found by Leng Xichen, a priestess of the Church of Light with healing powers and a resolute nature. Chu Yunfeng uses his knowledge of history to decipher ancient magic circles, while Fu Xiao applies physics formulas to deduce the principles of elemental magic. Gradually, they master the four elements: earth, fire, water, and wind. Liu Qingqing and Leng Xichen join them to form the “Star Orbit Squad.” Under the guidance of the old mage Merlin, they study magic, explore ancient ruins, and battle the dark cult. They discover that the cult’s leader, Mosasi, is trying to awaken Mofeisite, an ancient dark mage who was sealed away. During an ancient war, Mofeisite tried to swallow the world in darkness, and the “Star Orbit Gem” is the key to stopping him. As they adventure, the squad forms deep bonds: Chu Yunfeng and Liu Qingqing confirm their feelings while fighting magical beasts, while Fu Xiao and Leng Xichen support each other as they heal the wounded. In the end, they must gather the power of all four elements and resonate with the gem to end the darkness before Mofeisite fully awakens. Meanwhile, Chu Yunfeng and Fu Xiao find their place and love in this other world.
