I Put My Best Friend’s Hopeless Romanticism Up for Sale Online

When I came across a ridiculous post on Xianyu that read, “Love Tribulation Office of the Immortal Realm: Seeking hopeless romantics for purchase. Can be exchanged for career-minded souls!” I was at the bottom of the sales rankings at a car dealership with my best friend, Wu Keke. I looked at the post, then at my friend, who was ready to die for her stepbrother.

A bold idea came to me. With a little tap, I put Wu Keke’s top-tier hopeless romantic soul up for sale on Xianyu. The next day, my tearful friend was gone. In her place was a sales fanatic with eyes as clear as an AI’s, who spoke in nothing but KPIs.

How she later used her career-minded brain to sell luxury cars like hotcakes, how she made her stepbrother regret everything, and how I ended up being pursued by the immortal bureaucrat who made the post... those are stories for another time. All in all, that Xianyu deal was a steal!
