The story begins in a chaotic age when the fate of Shi Yanwen, the great scholar and martial hero of Yunzhou, a pillar of the martial world, is unknown. Taking advantage of the turmoil, the notorious Cang Jingren wreaks havoc across the jianghu. Two dark forces quietly rise and unsettle the Central Plains: the mysterious Pili City and the Crippled City, controlled by the Blood Sect's Godfather. Shi Yanwen assumes the identity of the Heavenly Way's One Hero, the Sacred Sword Bai Yangsheng, and conceals himself in the shadows to fight evil with the power of the Sacred Sword. Meanwhile, the strange Ghost Demon Saber appears out of nowhere, sparking a furious struggle between good and evil. The fated showdown between the Sacred Sword and the Demon Saber runs through the entire story.
The ensemble cast shines brightly. The extreme Black and White Langjun takes pleasure in others' failures and shakes the martial world with his peerless art, One Breath Transforms into Nine Hundred. The Wilds' Golden Saber, One-Eyed Dragon, bears the burden of the Dharma Vajra List and roams the jianghu to destroy demons, torn between good and evil. The comic quartet of Liu San, Old Weirdo, Two Teeth, and Qin Jiaxian uses humor to temper the jianghu's grim atmosphere. Other characters, including Qingtianzi, who seeks revenge for 999 wronged souls; the ambitious Godfather of the Blood Sect; and the enigmatic Half-Faced Man, weave a complex plot where power plays and chivalry coexist.
