The story I want to tell takes place on a beautiful planet. People across the universe call it Earth, and the highly intelligent beings who live there are known as "humans."
But humans aren't the only creatures that have lived there for ages. There are also those enormous beings, collectively known as "monsters." Ever since the first monster burst from the ground, they have caused great panic in the human world. One after another, more monsters have awakened from their slumber: underground, in the sky, on land, and in flight... But as humans studied them, they discovered that most of them were kind creatures. After decades of change, they became humanity's close companions.
Of course, not all monsters are like that. The hideous creatures from outer space are still destroying Earth, and some monsters native to the planet occasionally lose control. And we mustn't forget that there are already beings in the universe with their eyes on this planet. Can humanity protect its own lives amid such a crisis? Can it defend its home?
These are not questions our protagonist, Kazama Mio, should have to answer. For now, she's just an ordinary monster caretaker. Her greatest wish is to live peacefully with her family and see these lovely, kind giants every day. But good people aren't always blessed with good fortune. During a monster attack, she was brutally killed by an alien monster while trying to protect a baby monster.
But what was that light? And what was the giant figure that flashed within it?
