This is a contemporary urban love epic centered around "rationality and sensibility", "order and freedom". The story tells the story of Gu Yunzheng, a top cultural relic appraiser, and Lu Xinghe, a cutting-edge avant-garde painter, whose fates are intertwined because of a mysterious fake painting "Ember". One believes in absolute rationality and rules, and the other pursues the ultimate sensibility and instinct.
